Season is almost here

It’s almost time for football! First games kick of this weekend for youth and seniors. It has been long awaited and I know everyone is eager to strap on the shinnies play some footy. With the relaxing of the mass gathering we do have some COVID19 commitments:

  • Sanitise your hands before and after training
  • Sanitise your hands before and after games
  • Contact tracing for spectators via iDMe
  • Maintain social distancing where possible

Safety is paramount to all of our members, spectators and community so the clearest message that I can give – If you are unwell, stay home! We don’t want is another outbreak to be stuck at home again. There is plenty of time for football so if you are unwell, take the week off and take care of yourself

Clubrooms are Open

We look forward to the announcement by the government on the 8th about whether we head to level one. We hope this gives us more freedom to enjoy football but there will still be measures. Regardless, we are stoked to be able to open the clubrooms for the first week. There will be strict protocols that have to be followed to stay within the law and to keep people safe. More to come as we will be confirming these tonight. Good news for the juniors and seniors – the bar with be stocked with alcohol free, light in alcohol & a few full alcohol options tonight!

Affiliation Fees

During this time we have been frantically calculating with all the changes what subs allowances we can make and pass through to the members. We have some discounted fees and we are working through how we roll that out. There will be a couple of refund options that will be available if you have paid already. We hope to have more detail shortly but in the interim get onto MyComet and register. For more information see our junior and senior registration pages

I look forward to watching our troops battle it out in our first football week
