Welcome to Tawa Football Club

Tawa AFC is a football club located in the Wellington suburb of Tawa and affiliated to Capital Football, a federation member of New Zealand Football.  

The club has both a 'Seniors' and 'Juniors' focus.  Our Senior club runs Mens and Womens teams from Under 17 through to Masters.

Tawa Junior Football looks after the junior side of the club for both boys and girls.  We offer a First Kicks programme for 4-6 year olds, Fun Football for 7-8 year olds, Mini Football for 9-12 year olds, Youth Football for 13-14 year olds and Girls Only leagues for girls aged 6-15.

JUNIOR REGISTRATIONS

Junior Registrations for 2015 - Registrations are still open for 7th/8th grade Fun Football and 4-6 year olds First Kicks and Girls Only (Sunday) but have closed for 9th-14th grades, mixed, for the 2015 winter season. If you wish to sign up for Fun Football, First Kicks of Girls Only please use the following link:

Senior Training 2015
Men & Women

Training has commenced for 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams on every Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm at Grenada North 4.

Other men’s grades and ladies will train on Wednesday evening and commencement dates will be advised later.

New members are very welcome to attend.

NEW TAWA AFC CENTRAL LEAGUE COACH FOR 2015

Tawa AFC is delighted to announce that Jose Quijada has accepted the position of Coaching Director at the club.  Jose arrived in New Zealand from Chile 14 years ago with a an excellent playing record including having played for the Chile U23 team before beginning  a coaching career in Chile, gaining his professional coaching licence. 

He has travelled regularly overseas gaining his UEFA B licence together with an English International coaching licence.  While in New Zealand Jose has coached at Western Suburbs, Miramar and Wellington United as well as a variety of age group teams. We look forward to Jose spreading his experience to our players and coaches.

Tawa AFC attains New Zealand Football Quality Club Mark

Tawa Football Club and Greytown Junior Football Club are the latest two clubs of only twelve nationwide who have attained the New Zealand Football Quality Club Mark.

The Quality Club Mark initiative aims to promote continual improvement in the way football is delivered and to support clubs as they adopt standards of best practice.  C
